By Nse Peter
Mr. Joseph Okon, Uyo-based journalist and a known supporter of Akwa Ibom SSG, Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s 2015 governorship ambition recently published on his Facebook page, an article which severely criticizes Governor Godswill Akpabio for allegedly withdrawing political support for the SSG who is his protégé.

The article with the title ‘ACA: A Divided House of Godswill Akpabio’ was posted on Mr. Joseph Okon’s Facebook page on 25 August, 2014.
The article frowns at the 2015 governorship aspiration of Governor Akpabio’s in-law, Mr. Mike Sebastine.

It has been confirmed that Mike Sebastine who is from Ikot Abasi Local Government Area and married to Uduak, a direct sister to Sir Emem Akpabio, is also personally seeking for the PDP governorship ticket, even though he was appointed the vice chairman of ACA (Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance), a political platform campaigning for Udom Emmanuel.
Mr. Mike Sebastine is running is 2015 governorship on the theme ‘The Grace Factor’.

“If Godswill Akpabio want to front his in-law for the 2015 governorship of the state which he may not like the result, he should have first consulted his predecessor, Obong Victor Attah who may have briefed him on how it was in 2006 when Obong Attah wanted his Son in-law, Dr Udoma Bob Ekarika to succeed him as the next governor of the state in 2007,” the article pointed out.

The article went on to say “If truly that Mike Sebastine wants to contest the governorship as he has said, he should resigned his position in ACA because he has digressed from the vision, aims, and objectives of the group since the group according to the founding fathers, was formed solely to deliver Udom Emmanuel as the next Governor of Akwa Ibom state.”
