A’Ibom: Tribunal orders PDP to remove bags containing ‘fraudulent’ forms from court premises

The Akwa Ibom Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja, Thursday, asked the Peoples Democratic Party to immediately remove from the court registry seven bags containing Incident Form the party brought to the tribunal, since they have failed to tender them as exhibit before the tribunal.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Austin Okojie, has alleged threats to his life by a security operative within the commission.
Okojie, who raised the alarm on Thursday during an emergency meeting with the staff of the commission in Uyo, said the threats were usually made through anonymous phone calls and text messages at night.

The Akwa Ibom State All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Resident Electoral Officer (REC), Mr. Austin Okojie, of planning to scuttle the inspection of electoral materials as ordered by Justice Adedayo Oyebanji of the National and State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Uyo, the state capital.
