Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto and 200 0ther office holders in the state on Monday dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party and joined the opposition All Progressives Congress in Minna, the state capital.

APC merger update: I have not left PDP – Babangida Aliyu says

The governor announced this through his spokesperson.
The Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, has said that he remains a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mr. Aliyu stated this hours after the All Progressives Congress announced a merger with the Abubakar Baraje- faction of the PDP called ‘New PDP.’
