Late Grace James Akpan Udo Edehe’s burial fixed for next month


The remains of late Madam Grace Akpan Udo Edehe, the mother of Senator James Akpanudoedehe, will be buried next month, February 9.

Senator Akpanudoedehe was the Action Congress of Nigeria’s flag bearer in the 2011 governorship election in Akwa Ibom State.

Late Grace Akpan Udo Edehe reportedly died at her home peacefully on 3 January this year.

The burial to be conducted by the Qua Iboe Church, # 2 Abak Road, Uyo, will take place at Afaha Offot 
Primary School, Afaha Offot, Uyo, according to a statement jointly issued by the senator and two of his brothers, Obong Godwin Akpan Udo Edehe and Anietie Akpan Udo Edehe.

“Madam Grace James Akpan Udo Edehe will be laid to rest beside her husband at Chief James Akpan Udo Edehe family compound in Afaha Offot,” the statement says.
