19 governors say they have elected Jonah Jang of Plateau State as the new chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum

The Nigerian Governors’ Forum has elected the Governor of Plateau State, Chief Jonah Jang as the Chairman of the Forum.






In a resolution signed by 19 Governors, the Forum said having taken cognizance of the state of the nation, and the perception of the Nigerian people they had thanked the out-going Chairman, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, Governor of Rivers State for his leadership and achievement.



 
 

The 19 Governors who are signatories to the resolution said they strongly agreed for a change of leadership of the Forum from May 2013.

By their resolution, they said they had elected the Governor of Plateau State, Chief Jonah Jang as the new Chairman.

The resolution was signed by the Governors of Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Bayelsa, Taraba, Benue, Anambra, and Kogi.

Others are the Governors of Ondo, Plateau, Kaduna, Enugu, Ebonyi, Bauchi, Delta, Abia, Katsina Yobe, Cross River and Kwara State.
