Today, 20th August, 2015 is Mr. Umana Okon Umana’s 56th birthday. But the iconic politician and the APC governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State may not cut a birthday cake; not in the next several hours, as he is going to spend almost half of the day in court to prove that there was no election in his state, and that the court should order for fresh election.

“Today, I will mount the witness box to testify on oath exactly what transpired during the fraudulent election facilitated by Akpabio to force Udom Emmanuel on Akwa Ibom people,” says Umana in a terse message he personally posted, Thursday, on Facebook. “I shall say exactly as it happened, with nothing in addition because I believe justice can only be secured when the truth prevails over deception.”
Umana and his wife, Florence, are already in the court, J.J. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa), a popular Nigerian social commentator has confirmed in a tweet.
The last April governorship election in Akwa Ibom State was marred with massive rigging and violence, said local and international observers. And the APC candidate may likely win at the election tribunal.
