Amb. Sam Edem, a former chairman of the Niger Delta
Development Commission (NDDC), is dead.
Amb. Edem died on Wednesday in a hospital in Uyo after
a brief illness, a member of his family in Uyo told Think Akwa Ibom!
“We are in shock, we didn’t think the illness was a
serious one,” said the family member who didn’t want his name disclose because
he was not authorised to speak on the demise of the former Nigerian diplomat.
Amb Edem hailed from Ndiya community in Nsit Ubium
Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state.
He was the chairman of the NDDC from 2005 to 2007.
