Williams, No. 1 seeded, defeated Sharapova 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals at the All England Club on Thursday. She has beaten Sharapova 17 times in a row. Williams faces Garbine Muguruza of Spain this Saturday in the final game of the tournament.

African-American tennis star, Serena Williams has done it again. She has just won for the third year in a row the U.S Open tennis tournament. Wow!

Her 6-3, 6-3 win over 10th-seeded Caroline Wozniacki makes her the second woman to win this title six times, and the second to complete a three-peat. She also moves into second place on the all-time wins list, joining Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert with 18 Slam titles.
