Mr. Kufre Etuk has reportedly asked the administration of Mr. Udom Emmanuel to look elsewhere in other parts of Akwa Ibom State to continue with the demolition of so called ‘illegal’ buildings and leave Uruan Local Government Area alone.

Otobong Nsekpong, media aide to the immediate past Akwa Ibom speaker, Sam Ikon, caused a stir on Facebook, Tuesday, with a comment which labels the people of Uruan as witches and trivializes their travails over the recent demolition of buildings in Ekpene Ukim and its environs.

Several buildings were on Tuesday pulled down along the Airport Road, around Ekpene Ukim village, Uruan local government areas of Akwa Ibom State on the orders of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Kufre Etuk, member representing Uruan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, has reportedly picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to represent the party in the election for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. Etuk defected from his former party, PDP, after Governor Godswill Akpabio and his powerful family conspired to deny him the PDP ticket the 2015 election.
