Uwem Umanah’s poor pr outing for Udom Emmanuel

Uwem Umanah, the younger brother of the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, is one young man in Akwa Ibom State who craves for publicity. But fortunately or unfortunately (that is, depending on the perspective you are looking at it) what the young man has been getting is controversy, plenty of it – from calling former governor, Obong Victor Attah ‘senile’ to claiming that PDP can and will win the 2015 governorship election in Akwa Ibom without the support of Oro ethnic group, and the public outrage that followed his remarks – and he really seems to be enjoying it.

Mr. Uwem Umanah came out few weeks ago declaring that the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel is CityWatch newspaper Man of the Year 2014. It looks like Uwem Umanah is the publisher/editor of the paper, even though such paper is hardly seen nor heard of in Akwa Ibom State.

Uwem Umanah took to Facebook to spread the news of his CityWatch award to Udom Emmanuel, but it ended up being a bad pr outing for him and Udom Emmanuel, with one Effiong Ekpanya confronting him thus “must your whole family be involved in sycophancy and bootlicking?”
