APC governorship primaries: I never gave Udoedehe money – Umana

Mr. Umana Okon Umana

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Umana Okon Umana  has dismissed the rumour making the rounds that Senator John Udoedehe collected money from him to withdraw from the governorship race in the state.

Mr. Umana in a release signed by the director, Media & Publicity, APC Governorship Campaign Organisation in the State, Mr. Iboro Otongaran, said he was aware of the rumour and that it was not true.

“Umana rejects any claim that he gave Senator Udoedehe money for any political favour before, during or after the race for the party’s (governorship) ticket in the 2015 elections,” the release stated, while advising members of the public to disregard the rumour.

The APC governorship candidate said the rumour was originated
and peddled by detractors who are scared of the rising popularity of the APC and his candidacy in the state and are therefore bent on creating a rift between him and the senator, and advised those behind it to stop forthwith.
