When a famous Akwa Ibom blogger, Mr. Anietie James Ekah,
Thursday, posted a photo of Akwa Ibom-born comedian, Sir James Essien posing
with heavy wads of naira notes, he may have wanted to show that a fellow
brother has hammered.
You can feel the excitement in Mr. Anietie James Ekah when
he announced, “Comedian Sirjames Essien is already making waves in #Lasgidi
where he's currently attending the 7th edition of African Women in Leadership
Organization (Africa Conference) happening live at the Banquet Hall, Sheraton
Hotel.
“For just 15-minutes of stand up Comedy, Sir James (Akwa
Ibom's comedy export to the world) is already smiling to the bank! The gift of
a man maketh way for him! Meanwhile, the event is for 2 days oo! This is just
today oo!! #ProudlyAkwaIbom.”
But some persons who saw the picture thought otherwise; they
felt it wasn’t necessary for the Akwa Ibom-born comedian to pose with the
money. One Tehilah Shalom Inyang commented thus on the photo, “This is rubbish,
must he show us dis. I fear oooo. Mkpo abi bah!”
Trust Aniekan James Ekah not to be intimidated by people’s
negative comments about his good intention. He quickly fired back with a photo
showing a mixture of different celebrities including Nigeria’s Davido posing
with heavy cash. “Bad belle people... take a look.. lol. To those that made
derogatory comments on Comedian Sirjames Essien photo, here's your reply...
'YOU MUST, MUST OO!! APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE!'” Mr. Ekah wrote.
