Nigeria National League club, Akwa Starlets, are facing a
ban from all football activities if they fails to pay the salaries of former
players and coaches.
Nineteen players and three coaches sent a petition to the
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee
over the matter.
They claimed that they are being owed salaries and sign-on
fees of about 23.35 million naira by the club.
In its verdict, the NFF committee ordered the club to pay
the players and coaches on or before Tuesday, June 30.
Failure to do so will attract heavy sanctions.
