In A’Ibom, youths hide under the cover of masquerades to extort money from people

The above Facebook comment by Mr. Iniobong Umoh says it all.

Umoh was reacting to a post by one Mr. Ofonime Honesty who said, “With unemployment biting hard, some youths are resorting to masquerading. As early as 7 am, they hit the streets of Uyo only to return home very late at night. How lucrative is this weird profession? How much do these masquerades make on daily basis?”
