The people of Ini local government area, Akwa Ibom State has
warned Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state
against foisting Mr. Etetim Anwatim on
them as chairman, caretaker committee of the local government area, the Planet FM has reported.
Planet FM reported
that the people which consist of PDP chieftains, women and youth leaders from
the local government area said that Anwatim who is the immediate past chairman
of Ini hails from the same area with both the current member representing Ini
State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the newly
sworn-in commissioner in the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, and that
appointing him as caretaker chairman of the area will be a breach of an
existing principle of zoning in the local government area.
