Democratic Party, Akwa Ibom state chapter being conscious that the three year
term of the existing Local Government Councils in the State, will expire in few
months, has in her vintage proactivity, constituted the planning committee for
local government elections, pending when the Akwa Ibom State Independent
Electoral Commission will announce the election timetable.
