7 Signs that Akpabio may not make it to Senate nor put a successor in office

Photo: Bishop David Oyedepo leading the prayer session at Mount Carmel on Sat. Seated (1st right) is Gov Akpabio. …. If you are among the remnants of Godswill Akpabio’s followers, you’ll definitely have a re-think after reading this piece, put together exclusively by Think Akwa Ibom!

For refusing to support Udom Emmanuel, Akpabio kicks Sunny Ibanga out of PDP (Sunny Ibanga’s press release attached)

When Think Akwa Ibom! had news over the weekend of Gov. Akpabio fighting dirty against the Chapter chairman of PDP in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Sunny Ibanga, at first it sounded unbelievable because Chief Ibanga is a well-known supporter and hit man of the governor. Remember, it was Sunny Ibanga that warned against PDP governorship aspirants, apart from the governor’s anointed man, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, from visiting Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency for political consultation. (In case you missed the story, read it here.)
We had confirmed the story of Akpabio’s war against Sunny Ibanga from at least four different sources, before Ibanga himself issued a press release on the matter. (Read Sunny Ibanga’s press release at the end of the story)
From our findings, the summary of the trouble Akpabio is having with Sunny Ibanga is that the later has refused to support the political ambition of Udom Emmanuel; the chief has taken a stand for former Akwa Ibom deputy governor, Obong Nsima Ekere as far as 2015 Akwa Ibom governorship election is concerned.
We publish here a news report in the Sensor newspaper on the battle of the titans. Read the story after the cut….

PDP in A’Ibom ‘filled with usurpers, gold diggers’, says ex-Assembly man, Ukana Bassey

Obong Paul Ekpo, State Chairman, PDP, Akwa Ibom State

By Nse Peter
A former member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Dr. Ukana Bassey has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State today is “filled with usurpers, gold diggers, and turn coats”.

Ukana Bassey who had represented Nsit Ibom State Constituency in the State House of Assembly during the administration of Governor Victor Attah, said in a message posted on his Facebook page recently, that those who founded PDP in Akwa Ibom have been sadly excluded from the affairs of the party in the state today.
