A political associate of Effiong Bob has told Think
Akwa Ibom! that the former senator believes Governor Godswill Akpabio is using the current
Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government (SSG), Mr. Udom Emmanuel as a ‘decoy to
deceive the political elites’ in the state, ahead of the 2015 governorship election.
Senator Bob’s associate who is a former member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly from Eket Local Government Area spoke to Think Akwa Ibom!, Monday, in Abuja. He didn’t want his name mention in the report because, according to him, the former senator did not authorise him to speak to the press on his behalf.

He quoted Senator Effiong Bob as saying “Udom Emmanuel is
like a film put together by (Governor) Godswill Akpabio for Akwa Ibom people to
see and get entertained, when it is over he (Akpabio) will remove the film.”
He said Effiong Bob believes that “Udom is a decoy to deceive
the political elites,” and added that the SSG may not contest the PDP
primaries.
