One of Nigeria’s finest gospel rap artist, Vine, is
set to release a new track titled 'Possess Me'. The release date is August 1,
2015, according to a statement from the Benin-Nigerian born musician.
Vine teamed up with a renowned Nigerian gospel
artist and producer Sola Soetan to put together ‘Possess Me’ which is described
as “a blend of sultry vocals, soulful rap and deep instrumentals in an ambience
of total worship”.
The statement says, “From the opening notes of
'Possess Me' one hears that combination of melodic irresistibility and lyrical
incisiveness that are becoming Vine’s hallmark.
“The song is centered around the greatness of God, a
call to worship and the place of realisation that we can only amount to nothing
without God being the center of everything in our lives. Imagine man without
air, imagine the vine not abiding in the branch, the obvious result is every
man which is born of the flesh that is not Possessed by its Creator.
“Possess Me is that place where the creation crave
the perfection of its creator.”
