NUJ suspends Akwa Ibom journalist for publishing fake stories


A newspaper publisher in Nigeria has been suspended from a local press union for publishing fake stories.
The suspended journalist, Ephraim Ikpe, was reported to the union for using The Waves Newspaper, a local newspaper he publishes in Akwa Ibom State, to run fake stories against Cletus Ukpong who is PREMIUM TIMES’ south south editor.

African Church pastor: I’m against re-election of state lawmaker because he doesn’t share money



A pastor with the African Church in Akwa Ibom State, Rev. Richard Peters, shocked his followers on different social media platforms on Sunday when he said that his constant attacks on a lawmaker in the state was because of the lawmaker’s refusal to share money to people.
